Airvent is a modern, clean, high-quality utility vector font in OpenType format. It looks great on avionic and instrument panels, wayfinding systems, instruction manuals, etched on fascias, printed on cellophane wrappers, packaging, delivery notes, and so on.

The download includes (a zip with) an installable OpenType Font format font file (.otf), a PDF specimen that shows nearly the entire glyph set and some examples, and a licence file.

Airvent includes pre-built and OpenType fractions, smallcaps (including smallcap numbers and a couple of smallcap symbols), sub- and super-script numbers, ballot boxes, planets, and a typical range of daggers, section symbols, currency symbols, mathematical symbols, and so on.

Airvent has enough letters and accents to cover the following languages (from Font Book):

Afrikaans, Asu, Bemba, Bena, Bosnian, Cebuano, Chiga, Cornish, Corsican, Croatian, Dutch, English, Faroese, Ganda, German, Gusii, Icelandic, Ido, Inari Sami, Indonesian, Interlingua, Irish, Italian, Jju, Kalenjin, Kinyarwanda, Lojban, Lower Sorbian, Luo, Luxembourgish, Luyia, Machame, Makhuwa-Meetto, Makonde, Malay, Maori, Morisyen, North Ndebele, Northern Sotho, Nyanja, Nyankole, Occitan, Oromo, Romansh, Rombo, Rundi, Rwa, Samburu, Sango, Sangu, Sardinian, Scottish Gaelic, Shambala, Shona, Slovak, Slovenian, Soga, Somali, South Ndebele, Southern Sotho, Swahili, Swati, Swiss German, Taita, Taroko, Teso, Tsonga, Tswana, Upper Sorbian, Vunjo, Welsh, Western Frisian, Xhosa, Zulu

Hey, this font looks very lovely! I was curious if it had a license (eg: SIL?) or not. Thanks again for taking the time to make it!

Thank you for your kind comments!

It does have a license, which is included in the zip (sorry that i haven’t included a link to it). The licence is somewhat experimental: it is liberal, slightly weird, and not SIL.

You are free to use the font, but not distribute it, and you must also agree to comply with human rights law.

Because it is my font, i can of course license it privately with different terms, for a fee.

[I hope it’s obvious that you can always try the font out by downloading for $0]
