Arugula Font
A downloadable font
Arugula is a military-style stencil sans-serif in quite narrow proportions. It is developed from found stencilling on the side of a case of rocket ammunition.
The name is a pun, Arugula is one of the names of the edible plant Rocket.
At more than 150 glyphs, the repertoire is enough to support Welsh, Slovenian, basic English, and a smattering of West European and African languages; Dutch IJ is supported.
Accents in the font can be placed onto letters and numbers using the Unicode combining feature. This allows the font to support Ento, a Martian language documented by Sara Weiss, which uses an umlaut below (Unicode U+0324); as well as other marks that this font supports.
For wayfinding, arrows are supplied, and markers for croissant, coffee, and fountain.
